The One Step Weft

I am happy to announce that I am offering a new service! I want you to meet the 1 Step Weft.  I like to describe it as almost like a more permanent clip-in that is reusable and is quick and easy to remove, meaning less time sitting in the chair, and more money in your pocket.

What is a weft anyway? Well, a weft is like a sheet of hair, and what makes this a “1 step weft” is that the installation is a one step process.  Other methods require multiple steps during installation, a lot of sewing and pulling, but not this technique!

The weft is secured by a beaded track which means there is no glue or bond attaching to the hair, so the removal is painless and quicker than any method on the market.  The bead is simply clamped onto the hair and when it comes time for removal it is reopened using a pliers-like tool.  Removal for this method is only 15 minutes as opposed to individual removals can take an hour or longer depending on how much hair was used.

Sounds like a dream right? Well it gets better, this method is perfect for busy on the go to gals who don’t have hours to sit in the chair during routine maintenance, and since the hair is reusable, you can save money not having to buy a fresh batch of hair every 3 months.  With proper care the hair can be used up to a year with lots of tlc, like low temperature heat styling, using the right shampoo and conditioner, and lots of Olaplex.

The only downside is that they are slightly bulkier than individuals – nothing beats individuals in the natural look and feel department, but you can mix methods.  I can apply individuals around the hairline so you can still enjoy the benefits of high ponytails and the seamless blend around the face, and placing the wefts in the back where they are easier to hide.

Another thing to consider is that they require more regular maintenance, so although the appointment duration is much shorter, you have to come to the salon more often.  Salon visits should be every 6-8 weeks, where as individuals should be coming in every 3-4 months.  There are pro’s and con’s to each method, but quick and easy removals and installations make this method a preferred choice for many!

So who would benefit most from this method? If you have medium to thick hair and need to add a lot of hair to match your density, this is the perfect method for you.  If you have normal hair, but just want to add a few pieces around the front for volume, this method is also great for you.   If you also have fine hair, this method is great for filling in the back of the hair, and mixing individuals around the front to get the best of both worlds.

I am excited to offer this new and innovative service and if you have any questions or want to book a consultation, reach out to me!
